William "Ryan" Tawpash

Born in Birmingham, AL

Lives & Works in Santa Fe, NM

William “Ryan” Tawpash is a rising American fine arts artist who loves the creative process. From the idea to the finished piece, he takes joy in every moment. Ryan started painting on his 21st birthday, after a motorcycle accident where he suffered a traumatic brain injury. Ever since then painting has been his passion.

Ryan has owned and operated his own art gallery, as well as run the art gallery at Blue Arrow Farm and curated shows there. He has done commissioned work for Bobby Flay, and many others. The young artist is currently pursuing an art degree in fine arts at the Academy of Art University and plans to pursue a lifelong journey in the arts.

Over his ten years of experience, Ryan has experimented with different mediums, and has built a solid foundation through his education. Working with natural materials resonates most with his soul. The emergent artist attributes the true foundation of his work to his connection with the universe.

When Ryan is not painting, he is active in nature, at the gym, skydiving, snowboarding or creating music. Overall, he believes choosing to enjoy this spiritual journey is the source of his passion.
